The goal of the M&E Unit is to provide an objective basis for assessing the effectiveness of the annual Work Plan for Sudan, measure progress towards achieving the objectives, and identify and disseminate lessons learned from experience. The M&E unit aims to deliver monitoring and evaluation products and services that reinforce accountability, transparency, and organizational learning.

The M & E Unit as part of the Work Plan Management team

• Coordinates Work Plan Monitoring & Evaluation
• Supports the Mid Year Review and End of Year Review processes with the Support of the Planning Unit
• Provides technical support to Sectors in development of sector plans and project sheets
• Assists sectors with objective formation and selection and refinement of indicators
• Provides advise, relating to the Work Plan implementation, to Senior Managers, Sector Leaders, and Stakeholders
• Provides support to sector evaluations and surveys and coordinates evaluations of the Work Plan focusing on trends over time and geography
• Maintains library of key assessments, evaluations and surveys on Sudan
• Reviews the efficacy of CHF funds in supporting sectors to meet their objectives
